Ashis (Ash) Panigrahi

Ashis Panigrahi is a seasoned technology leader with over 25 years of experience in technology consulting and driving digital transformation initiatives for government sectors (civic authorities, defense, aerospace) and commercial clients (retail, manufacturing, banking, telecommunications) across the APAC region and North America.

He has been at the forefront of leveraging emerging technologies such as Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence to deliver accelerated business value and innovative digital transformation strategies.

He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Sciences with a specialization in Earth Sciences from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Bombay and later form IIT Kharagpur. He was honored with the prestigious President’s Gold Medal, presented by Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, for outstanding excellence in academics and extracurricular achievements during his graduation from IIT Kharagpur in 1995. During his final semester at IIT Kharagpur, his M. Tech. thesis focused on “combining remote sensing and electrical resistivity techniques to map water table contours beneath the Earth’s surface”.

To complement his technical expertise, he also earned a diploma in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, further strengthening his management and leadership capabilities.

 

In recent years, Ashis has collaborated with experts from globally renowned institutions like MIT and Cambridge to deepen his understanding of environmental challenges and explore technological solutions to address them. His efforts have included incubating startups focused on carbon sequestration, climate risk assessments and renewable energy; aiming to bring transparency and meaningful value to these critical sectors.

Ashis is an expert in carbon offset techniques, with a deep understanding of their role in addressing climate challenges and driving sustainable development. He is well-versed in Carbon Credit mechanisms and green financing reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability in these critical areas. His expertise enables him to guide strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to clients navigating the complexities of carbon markets.

He is passionate about leveraging these insights to create impactful solutions that align with global sustainability goals.
